Police Psalms

The inspiration for the painting was to show many of the sins, vices, horrors and dangers officers deal with on a regular basis.  Some of these are represented in the painting as such:

violence - broken windows,

alcohol

guns

sex

conspiracy/secrecy - no tell motel

drugs - Rx pharmacy & 8 ball

gambling

gang graffiti - it says "main st monsters" 

money

murder/death - the crow

The grim reaper with the raised sickle is a representation of the media or general public ready to cut down or chastise an officer for anything they feel they do wrong.

316 in the Licence plate represents the Bible verse John 3:16.  

Psalms 23:4 and the Officer walking into the city represent the faith, trust, courage and accountability all Officers must have to perform their duties.
